A Seller’s and Landlord Market for Years to Come?
It is very possible for it to be a landlord and seller’s market for the next 2-3 years because of a number of reasons(see #4 and #5 as key):
1. Cheap money(interest rates are low-and are crucial to landlord and seller’s market longevity)
2. Bad Credit keeps many people as renters because they do not qualify
3. Fear of would be buyers of a market correction
4. Inflation has not hit and significantly driven up the price of everything except houses, ie. gas, groceries, books, bikes, gadgets, etc….
But Why? Mainly because globalization has brought manufacturing to the places that pay the cheapest wages and other forces that make things less expensive(think Amazon where you can get the same product at a lower price, robots that replace human labor)
5. Housing is the one asset that has seen massive inflation, but why? Because housing is made by hand, locally with unique features benefits and characteristics.
