At 22 years old, I thankfully persuaded the top agents in the Century 21 Pacific Beach office to let me assist them with anything they needed help with, and worked full time as a buyers agents for the top 1% of all Realtors in the Nation. Wow did I learn some hard lessons really fast with her, but I sure got the education that I needed and it helped me to build the successful business that I have today.
In 2001, after five hard years of tough work, I became very successful in selling real estate. I decided to start my own company while continuing to work with Century 21 in Pacific Beach.
While still selling residential real estate full time with 5 full time employees, I began investing in 2002 and in 2003 with two of my associates who owned an appraisal and mortgage company and we formed Buyers Investment Group. It was very successful overall, starting out with a group of 10 investors, then quickly growing to over 60. We did everything from simple fix and flip, condominiums, money lending, commercial builds, and finally purchasing numerous parcels of land in CA, New Mexico, and Arizona. In addition to the good projects there were also some very tough learning experiences.
At the end of 2012, my broker and business partner Steve Ring, who was like a second dad to me, decided to shift into retirement so I began to look at new opportunities to do what I love which is selling real estate, public speaking and coaching Realtors how to sell real estate. I wrote my first of three books called The San Diego Real Estate Survival Guide which is currently published on Amazon.com along with my two other books, the California Real Estate Survival Guide and The Probate Executor and Administrator’s Survival Guide. I have been coaching privately as well as for a company called MTI Education where I currently run a coaching division. In 2014, I was also thankful to have the opportunity to work with The Beach Seller in Pacific Beach, where I currently have my license working as an agent selling new construction (infill residential contemporary new home builds).
My goal is to provide you with a clear picture of all of your options so you can make good decisions when buying, selling, and investing in real estate. After 18 years of work full time in real estate, I feel comfortable saying that nobody will do a better job than me to help you with your real estate needs.
